Using state-of-the-art analytical equipment, automated liquid handling systems, custom made robotic systems and a standardized laboratory information management system, we quickly profile New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for oral bioavailability. Mechanistic studies or simplistic all-or-none (permeable/not permeable) studies are available.

Caco-2 Permeability Studies

Cytogration, Inc. evaluates NCEs for permeability through Caco-2 cell membranes using a high-throughput protocol and a standard protocol for determining Papp values for Apical to Basolateral and Basolateral to Apical transport.

Caco-2 QUICK SCREEN

• The Caco-2 high-throughput (quick screen) protocol is designed simply to determine if the NCE passes through the membrane from the apical to basolateral side using the 24-well plate format; allowing hundreds of compounds to be tested per day.

Caco-2 STANDARD ASSAY

• The Caco-2 standard assay is performed using the 6-well SnapWell® format with samples taken at many time points.
